The event at the Lord Hill Hotel in Shrewsbury has been put together by music promoters Unheard Shropshire and online television broadcasters County Channel TV.

Unheard Shropshire, an organisation promoting unsigned bands from across the county, has arranged for eight bands to perform live at the hotel from 7.30pm.

County Channel TV – an online television station devoted to Shropshire – is broadcasting the whole event online. Radio Shropshire presenter Vicki Archer will be fronting the broadcast.

The music will be interspersed with video clips filmed at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital to explain how the money raised will be spent.

Bands taking part have also been interviewed and Wem-born comedian Greg Davies will also feature.

Louise Cliffe, acting fundraising manager for Lingen Davies, said: "We rely on the support we get from the public and it is always great when new supporters recognise the work we are doing and choose to get involved.

Donate to the appeal at www.justgiving.com/unheardshropshire or make text donations by texting 70070 and writing 'USLD99' followed by the amount being donated.

Visit www.countychannel.tv between 7.30pm and 1am to join in the fun.
